In the video, Khan is seen wearing a traditional Jat safa (turban) and speaking in praise of the community’s historical contributions. “The Jaats have always stood for courage, resilience, and pride. Their legacy is a symbol of India’s strength,” Khan stated in the clip, which has garnered over five million views on Instagram within the initial 48 hours of its release.
National Visibility Boost for Jaat Community Initiative Thanks to Superstar’s Backing
Sources indicate that this initiative is backed by a cultural foundation based in Haryana, with the primary objective of fostering educational and leadership development among young members of the Jat community. A spokesperson for the campaign expressed their gratitude, stating, “Salman Khan’s voice provides this crucial effort with the national visibility it urgently requires. We are immensely thankful for his support in amplifying our message.”
However, Khan’s foray into community endorsement has elicited a spectrum of reactions. While a considerable segment of the Jat community has warmly welcomed his gesture, interpreting it as a mark of respect and acknowledgement, skepticism lingers among others. “The timing feels politically motivated. He has never displayed any prior affiliation with our community,” commented Manjeet Singh, a prominent Jaat youth leader from Rohtak, reflecting a sentiment of cautious observation.

This figure represents a substantial drop compared to the ₹70 crore debut of his previous film, “Tiger 3,” released in 2023. Trade analyst Ravi Dubey, speaking to FilmBeat, attributed the film’s underperformance to its “outdated storyline” and “lukewarm reviews,” further suggesting that “younger audiences are increasingly drawn to fresh faces and the diverse content available on streaming platforms.”
Speculation has arisen regarding whether the timing of Khan’s involvement with the Jat campaign might have inadvertently detracted from the promotional momentum of “Sikandar.” However, media consultant Ananya Ghosh offered a contrasting perspective. “While the Jat campaign undoubtedly generated media attention, the underperformance of ‘Sikandar’ is more likely attributable to weaknesses in its script and a lack of positive word-of-mouth, rather than being directly impacted by Khan’s community outreach,” Ghosh asserted.
