Waltair Veerayya Movie Review in English
Megastar Chiranjeevi, who is doing movies in a row in the second innings.. last year with ‘Acharya’ in the summer, and greeted the audience with ‘Godfather’ for Dussehra. But if one of them was a disaster, the other seemed average. Now he has entered the arena as ‘Waltair Veerayya’ with the aim of hitting a blockbuster for Sankranti. This mass action entertainer, directed by Bobby Kolli, came to the audience today amid huge expectations. Let’s see how Chiru and the team met those expectations.

Waltair Veerayya Naration Analysis:
The film team has been shouting ‘Poonakalu Loading’ since the start of ‘Waltheru Veeraiya’ movie. If you see this word on the poster, it looks good, but if you ask the fans if they really got goosebumps while watching the promos of this movie, they can’t answer yes. Even in the movie, there are no heart-warming moments, but there is no mistaking it is only for money making entertainment. Bobby and team’s efforts to recreate the body language..looks..dialogues..comedy timing of his old movies to show the vintage smile have yielded some results. Megastar fans will connect well with his character. Even if there are no more ‘high’ episodes, the minimum guaranteed entertainment expected by the average audience is not met in ‘Waltheru Veeraiya’. There is no shortage of commercial aspects expected from a big star.
Chiranjeevi entertained so much as ‘Rowdy Alludu’.. He became very close to the masses as ‘Muthamestri’.. He entertained on a heroic level as ‘Shankar Dada’.. It is because of the uniqueness of those roles. Just putting on such getups.. showing the same body language.. just repeating the same comedy timing will not sway the audience. But Bobby, who was a fan of Chiru. Chiru’s attempt to imitate himself did not give good results everywhere but.. the comedy was good till some scenes. For example, in the police station, thinking that his wife is coming to him for blessings, he is very emotional and goes ahead, realizing that she is not coming for him, and goes back to cover the matter. The manner in which Chiri cultivates the character of hiding deep inside while showing anger towards his younger brother is impressive. The scenes in Chiru combination with Ravi Teja are the highlight of the movie.
However, the way ‘Waltheru Veeraya’ was started does not seem very interesting. Director Bobby seems to be confused whether to show Chiru as powerful.. or to present his character as a comedy. By saying ‘veeraiya veeraiya’, he signaled that he has designed the role of a hero as another name for heroism. With this, the character graph seems to have fallen down in the beginning. With the opening scenes, we get the feeling that we are going to watch a routine-formula movie. If you want ‘Waltheru Veeraya’ to improve after the hero steps in Malaysia on a mission to catch the villain… the graph will go down further. Chiru romantic track with Shruti Haasan. Shruti’s twist of being an undercover cop did not surprise the audience. The audience’s anticipation for the moment that gives a good high pays off during the interval. Showing what the real mission of the hero is.
As per the format of commercial movies, the flash back starts in the second half. That’s where Ravi Teja’s character makes an entry. A little seriousness comes into the story only after the arrival of Ravi Teja. Chiru-Ravi Teja combination scenes look okay. Chiru is impressive in the scenes where he shows his inner love while pretending to be angry with his younger brother. The scenes of gilli kazzala between the brothers.. and the emotional bond between the two at the end is pleasing. Even if the flash back seems a little stretched, it is the episode that feels a little better in the movie. Along with comedy, emotion also worked out to some extent in this episode. But back to the present, it’s normal again. Pre-climax and climax episodes that create destruction at the hero’s level have been heavily designed. Bobby’s attempt to present the vintage Chiru on screen has paid off. Comedy worked out well. Some degree of heroism is also elevated. But the narratives seem ordinary. For Chiru.. For comedy.. For Chiru’s combination scenes with Ravi Teja, you can take a look at ‘Waltair Veerayya’.
Waltair Veerayya star cast:
Starring Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja, Shruti Hasan, Prakash Raj, Bobby Simha, Catherine Theresa, Rajendra Prasad, Nazar, Satyraj, Vennela Kishore, Srinivasa Reddy, Saptagiri and others
Chiranjeevi tried to bring a vintage feel by reminding the body language and comedy timing of his old movies. He was able to engage the fans well. But Veeraya’s role lacks consistency in the role. Appearing very serious in one scene and doing comedy in another scene, the character graph goes up and down. Chiru’s maintained look at this age.. His enthusiasm is commendable. Small steps are impressive in the bass party song. Ravi Teja has impressed in a special role. He is the character in the film which is a bit tight and runs in correct meter. Shruti Haasan is the heroine in the movie. Her role as an undercover RAW agent feels very different. Prakash Raj looks routine in the villain role. Such roles have been done countless times. Bobby Simha did well. Rajendra Prasad.. Catherine Thresa.. John Vijay.. All of them acted in their roles. Nazar.. Srinivasa Reddy.. Pradeep Rawat.. Shakalaka Shankar.. Saptagiri.. All these roles are nominal.
Waltair Veerayya movie Technical category:
Devisree Prasad, who has not been able to meet the expectations lately, has given a mild music to ‘Waltair Veerayya’. It is a little disappointing that the director uses bits and pieces of ‘Veeraiya.. Veeraiya’, the best of his songs. Other songs sound ok on screen. Devi’s background music is okay. Arthur K. Wilson’s cinematography is good. He provided the visuals to suit the background of the movie. Build values are good. The script presented by Bobby, Kona Venkat, Chakraborty Reddy has no sparkles. Instead of writing the story in a regular manner and then arranging the rest of the matter, it seems that the story has been prepared keeping the small image in mind and adding spices. Showing admiration for Bobby Chiru, he succeeded in trying to recall the vintage megastar. He didn’t make a lot of noise like he used to but.. he entertained in a moderate way.
